Fantasy Contest Winners Announced

GARDEN GROVE, CA, August 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- We are pleased to announce the winners of our 2011 Fantasy Art Contest. We were honored to have Carl Baratta judge this contest. Carl is a professor of art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was recently featured in "A Sense of Place" at the Venice Biennial.

We would like to congratulate William Francis Brennan from Germany whose piece titled, "Synthetic Wood" was awarded first place, Julia Howell for receiving second place, and artist Dayna Wood who was awarded third place. There were lots of great entries to choose from and many great interpretations of the theme "fantasy" displaying a wide range of thoughts and practices. We would like to thank each artist who entered and congratulate all of the winners. All of the winning images will be featured in Issue 4 of Artist Portfolio Magazine alongside an interview with Carl on the theme "Fantasy."
