Lomography at Times Square: Two levels of exhibition are waiting for you from April 11th to May 3rd, 2011
NEW YORK, NY, April 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From April 11th to May 3rd, 2011, Lomography and Times Square Hong Kong are presenting two levels of exhibition at Times Square in Hong Kong. This joint exhibition is a unique introduction to the analogue world of Lomography with an exciting exhibition space outside and gigantic Lomography cameras waiting for you inside of Times Square. A special edition of the Sprocket Rocket and the Lomography City Guide Hong Kong will be revealed during this exhibition, so don't miss out on experiencing Lomography on a bigger scale during this unique event!
OUTSIDE EXHIBITION
• LOMOWORLDMAP: It is a giant, walkable map made of 40,000 individual Lomographic photographs. This is only a sneak peek of our ultimate LomoWorldMap Project to come in the future but it's exciting never the less. Relax on one of the seven continents while taking a break from the other attractions.
• HONG KONG LOMOWALL: It is the biggest LomoWall in Hong Kong's Lomographic history! This giant LomoWall is made by thousands of Lomographers' photos dedicated to Hong Kong, and features its signature skyline.
• GIANT LOMOGRAPHY HONG KONG CITY GUIDE: To coincide with this special occasion, we will also be launching the Lomography City Guide Hong Kong - a unique look at the city through a Lomographer's eyes. But that's not all! We decided to go BIG and created a giant version of the City Guide. Have a look and get the latest scoop on the city or add your own message to its giant pages!
INSIDE ACTION
If you want to know more about Lomography and our analogue future, come inside to the 2nd floor exhibition for the complete download! You will find four larger-than-life versions of the Sprocket Rocket, Fisheye 2, Diana F+ and Lomo Lubitel 166+. All of them have surprising innards that will take you further into the world of Lomography. One of them is even a Pop-up Store where you can purchase a Limited Edition Sprocket Rocket especially designed for this unique event. Come inside and find out!
BE PART OF IT!
Come to our Times Square 2nd floor booth every Saturday afternoon (starting April 16th) from 2pm to 6pm, and meet the Lomography Analogue Arts Juror who will give away free cameras to the best LomoLocations proposals. The juror will listen to even the most extraordinary presentations of exciting LomoLocation shooting proposals - so don't be shy and take your chance! If the juror likes your location, you will hold your camera in your winning hands within seconds! We want you to feel the LomoWall Spirit! During the exhibition, we will hold Mini LomoWall Workshops every Sunday afternoon (starting on April 17th) from 2pm to 5:30pm. We welcome kids and adults to join this workshop, to come and make your own mini LomoWall. You can even take one piece of your personal LomoWall home with you.
