Cordelia 'Cordy' E. Lougheed Joins Ranks of Leading Professionals
Cordelia 'Cordy' E. Lougheed celebrates 50 years in the writing and photography industry

SANTA FE, NM, July 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author Cordelia 'Cordy' E. Lougheed has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing and photography.

Mrs. Lougheed began to write at an early age. When she was married and moved back to Connecticut from St. Croix, in the Virgin Islands, she developed asthma and had trouble sleeping. She would make up rhymes to occupy her mind, and write them down in the morning. She has written 35 short stories, and has published a children's book entitled 'Tales Of The Magpie." In addition, Mrs. Lougheed has always loved photography. She likes to take different subjects, and makes cards with flowers, animals and western landscapes for her friends. Her late husband, Robert Lougheed, was a well known fine art painter, and because of traveling with him on painting trips to Canada and Europe, has had a lot of exposure to art. Mrs. Lougheed was in camera clubs in Connecticut, and the Virgin Islands, and now is a member of the Astronomy Club of Alamogordo, NM. She attributes her success to her niece who encouraged her as well as an artist friend who has done illustration for her children's book.
