John Edward Kelley Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
John Edward Kelley celebrates a 47-year career as a cosmetologist and instructor

CASTELLA, CA, June 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Edward Kelley, Instructor (Retired) from the Los Angeles Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of his career.

At age 14, Mr. Kelley joined the California Air National Guard and served for 12 ½ years. During his enlistment, Mr. Kelley attended (M.P.R.TC.) Military Police Training at Camp Gordon Georgia. Mr. Kelley stood Honor Guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He also served in the 246th Air Service Group, Military Band.

My. Kelley built a scale model crop duster. On July 4th, 1976, the model was dedicated into the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The model is currently displayed in the Udvar Hazy Center, located at Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C.

As a photographer since age 12, Mr. Kelley has distinguished himself with two photographs accepted into the World Book of Photography.

In 1965, Mr. Kelley won the Fantasy Hair Contest sponsored by the Hollywood and Los Angeles Coiffeur Show held at the Ambassador Hotel.

Mr. Kelley began his life's work as an Instructor of Cosmetology in 1984 for the Los Angeles Unified School District and many of his students work in Beverly Hills and all over Los Angeles.

Mr. Kelley also worked as a part-time instructor for 14 years at Santa Monica College.

Mr. Kelley is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, the California Teachers Association, and the AARP.
