Mr. Fowler was presented with the Community Fair Award in 2008, was inducted into the Freelance Photographers Hall of Fame in 2008 and Poetry Hall of Fame in 2005 and is recognized by Who's Who in Photography.

Fowler, Parent Coordinator of East St. Louis School District 189, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Parent-Student Coordination. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
With more than 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Fowler specializes in photography and developing lead parent programs. At his current post, he is responsible for conducting computer classes, seminars and workshops for the parents, auditing operations for all schools. In addition, he also implements the No Child Left Behind Act and acts as a liaison between communities in coordinating programs at the annual community fair. Mr. Fowler previously worked as a communication and media technology specialist at the University of Jos, Nigeria for six years and as a teacher at Obafemi Awolowo University.
A published poet, Mr. Fowler co-authored a book, entitled 'Visible Glory: The Million Man March,' with Eugene B. Redmond and Marcus Atkins. He was presented with the Community Fair Award in 2008, was inducted into the Freelance Photographers Hall of Fame in 2008 and Poetry Hall of Fame in 2005 and is recognized by Who's Who in Photography.
Mr. Fowler received his Master's Degree in Education in 1976 and his Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 1972 from Southern Illinois University. He is a co-founder of the Eugene B. Redmond Writers Club and a member of the International Society of Poets and the International Freelance Photography Association.
