Announcing the launch of my new website; http://www.MemoriesInDigital.org
Digital Picture Frames. What an amazing concept! So technical, but so simple. I think Digital Picture Frames are the next big in home and office technology wave. I just knew I had to get a website up & running on these amazing products.

/Photography News Articles/ - February 20, 2008 - I had never even thought about Digital Frames until one day we received a marketing package from where I worked. In this package was a beautiful High resolution self supporting 7" Digital photo frame. As the pictures began to scan across, up, down, fade in & fade out, then roll across, up & down. We stood awestruck. Over the next weeks we began to see that almost everyone would stop at that frame and stare as we did on the day we set it up. It was incredible.

Businessmen talked about "the one in the office". Grandmothers talked about how they wanted "to send one to the kids", but wished even more their children would send them one with the Grandkids on it. That is when I realized the incredible value & versatility of these great little items.

As I began to look into them I was even more amazed at their variety. The sizes and the resolution, or clarity of which you can choose was practically inexhaustible. You could pay top dollar and go large with a 12" frame that gives you unbelievable visual quality to wow even the most skeptical of clients, or bring the biggest smile to Grandmom.

Or you can choose to go tiny, Key chain size, if you can believe it, with a 1" screen. What's even crazier is that these miniature frames can now hold as many as 60 beautiful, full color photos. Can you imagine the poor unsuspecting friend who agrees to look at "a few" family photos only to be still going through them a half hour later....

As far as power goes, we've come a long way. Early digital frames would lose their pictures as the batteries died or if it was accidentally unplugged. Today however, they nearly all use one of various types of memory chip that doesn't require power to store the pictures. So now if you unplug it or forget to put in new batteries all of your memories are still safe.

The designs available are amazing as well. In fact many come as a kit with interchangeable face plates for your choice of design. Just like a regular picture frame some are plastic, some wood, and some are made of metal to look antique. Of course it doesn't fool anyone once the pictures start scrolling & changing on their own. They used to require a remote just to change the picture... Now a remote is just an option.

You can probably see by now why I was so impressed by digital picture frames. So impressed in fact, I began to talk about them regularly. I was speaking one day with my son, who is far more advanced in the computer industry, and the subject of "building a web site" came up. I had worked in the construction industry & knew a lot about building, but this was WAY beyond me. It sounded great though. We were convinced that we could build a website to help the everyday individual cut right through all the confusion tied to shopping online, and go right to the Digital Picture Frames for evaluation. And we did.

http://www.MemoriesInDigital.org was the end result. It is a portal directly to the digital photo frame sections in many of the top retailing websites. No Store home pages, no indexes, just straight to the product with 1 click.
